We strive to make every child in long-term foster care feel loved and included through community.
We strive to make every child in long-term foster care feel loved and included through community.
A world where every child in foster care feels loved, valued, and supported, breaking cycles of hardship and creating a future filled with hope, belonging, and love.
Jessica McDonald is a practicing family attorney representing children in foster care as their attorney ad litem. She took one of the kids on vacation with her family to Galveston and the foster child had no idea Texas has beaches because that was his first vacation. It occurred to her that many moments we take for granted like family vacations, back-to-school clothes shopping, and birthday parties aren't events celebrated by most children in the foster care system. Jessica and her friend Christina Perrone founded Fostering the Magic in 2021.
Rebecca Budjenska was born and raised in North Texas and has a professional background in the service industry. She has a B.S. in Business Administration and works in marketing, community engagement, and online reputation management for Jessica McDonald & Associates, the successful law firm of the founder of Fostering the Magic. Her strengths are building relationships with people, networking, and consulting. She started as a Board Member in 2022 and is dedicated full-time to helping our organization grow.
"I am a supporter of mentorship. I have several mentors who pour into me regularly and its a privilege to be able to pass it on."
